Week 1: Images and SketchUp Concept

Noun: Snake
Verb: Entwine
Adjective: Displaced

Sketchup Concept 1
"Solitary" x "Statigraphy"

Sketchup Concept 2
After some thought, changes were made to the above concept to allow the notions of "solitary" and "stratigraphy" to gel together more naturally. The results are depicted in the sections and images below.

The image above inspired the angle, layered appearance of section 2. Not only was this in keeping with the word "stratigraphy," it also added a unique and interesting design for the building.
A Sketchup Model was developed in an attempt to more easily visualise the appearance of the building. Minor changes were made for design purposes.
